About
Executive coach and consultant, Mark Cappellino works with c-level leaders to sustain high performance at the intersection of culture and strategy. He engages leaders with practical, rapid start methods and models to build novel responses to complex problems. He works with individual leaders and their teams to solve for post merger/acquisition leadership team integration, culture/strategy change, executive on-boarding into role, high functioning executive-to-executive relationships, and cascading leadership performance through the organization for scalability and sustainability. Mark draws from multi-national experience in executive leadership, leadership team, and organizational development. Mark is hired by corporate boards to prepare leaders for succession and success in role.
Approach. Mark’s rigorous approach combines extensive training in coaching, organizational psychology, and management with more than 20 years of corporate experience. His style is direct, insightful and, at times, irreverent.
Background. In private industry, Mark served with multimillion dollar companies as director of organizational development, vice president of sales and marketing, and business unit leader. Leveraging the insights gained as an executive and manager, he works from a systems perspective to help people enhance their self-awareness and more clearly see the systems in which they work.
Education. Mark obtained a master’s degree in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University and a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Engineering & Management from Clarkson University. He has also taken mediation training and is licensed as a group process facilitator.
Activities. Passionate about learning, Mark serves as an executive coach for TED Fellows through the SupporTED program. He is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD), and the Society for Human Resource Managers (SHRM), as well as being a charter member of the International Consortium for Coaching in Organizations (ICCO), and a past president of the Tennessee Coaches Alliance.
